Brand new to this software and the forum. So as a newbie I'm looking for the answer to a specific question and I don't see a search feature in the forums. Surely, it would be helpful for folks to be able to find all the posts regarding 'blueberries' or 'adding a vegetable'.

Am I just not seeing it?

That should give the the search you were looking for. It is not available at lower levels in the forum. Just never had a request to add it there.
