Post Bitter Lettuce 
My lettuce is beautiful but bitter even the Bibb. The romaine is OK. Do you think I'm waiting too long to pick. I'm pretty sure it's not the watering. It is pretty hot here. Any ideas. I'm going to plant some more probably today.

Post Lettuce bitter 
It is the heat. Lettuce likes it cool and best to time so it is out of the ground when it gets hot. It is a cool season crop for spring and fall.
