Post Beautiful bug pic 
This is NOT a monarch caterpillar, but it looks VERY much like one. The monarch has the same colors, but only stripes.

I think this is a swallow tail caterpillar. It will turn into a beautiful butterfly after it gets done munching in your garden. They like celery dill and parsley.

Of course if you don't want them around, you can probably use Bt to get rid of them. Depends on what you want more. For some people it is a real dilemma as they are nice looking butterflies.
