Post Preserving Unused Seeds for next planting
Does anyone know if there is a best method to preserving unused seeds for the next planting. Whether there is a second planting in the Fall or if its for the next Spring?

Thanks,

I store them in the fridge. If you have to many to store in the fridge (I did this year) then tightly sealed plastic containers. I prefer the fridge though.

I've done thegardenlady's method in the past for short term storage ie. when I'll do a second planting. Otherwise, I store my seeds in an airtight container and store them in a cool, dry, dark place like my basement.

I grow heirloom veggies and save the seeds each year. After drying and curing, I'll package them individually, put them in a quart mason jar and vacuum seal the jar. If you don't have a FoodSaver vacuum sealer, you can use the Reynolds Vacuum sealer that they have in the grocery stores now...it's cheap and real easy to use.
