Post Wizard as much as possible
It would be great to have a wizard where, given the size of the plot, the perimeter to be maintained clear, Yes/No on a longitudinal aisle and width thereof, width of row/raised bed, and row spacing, you get automatic layout of row/zones, ready for adding plants.

Furthermore, if you then add 200 tomato plants, the program should calculate spacing, etc. and allocate them, but in a way that can be dragged/dropped to another row.

Best,
Ken

Post More wizards comming at some point
A version of Plangarden was demoed to an interested party that did the calculation of plants per row and plants per area.
It even went a step further, but that will not be revealed until that feature is integrated into the software.
I am pretty sure that feature won't make the first cut of the new version 2.0 that is coming out. But because all the data will be there, and only some code needs to be transfered, it will be sooner rather than later.
Thanks for the suggestion and I hope to suprise you soon with the feature.
There is a lot to talk about, but the next version is still running through the grinder. On the surface, it will start out much the same, but under the hood will be a plethera of features to harvest.

Post Anyone seen the Wizard?
Any updates on this, Roy?

There is at least one related feature request on maintaining spacing semi-automatically when adding individual plants.

Thanks,
Ken

Post Plant Spacing
Yes.
This feature has been added.
It is under Options, Preferences "Show/Hide" Spacing.

If you don't like the spacing that the program has, you can adjust it per plant by selecting the plant and then scaling the plant side. The amount of space around it scales at the same time.
