i've been thinking about the other posts regarding future planning and harvesting. if the bar-graphs on the harvest tab were color-coded, based on the dates on the Plant Information window, then it would be easy to see when things need to be harvested. don't know if that makes sense, yet ;^)

they could graduate between yellow when planted, to green when in the growth stage, to red at harvest time. not different, but better, maybe?

This is an interesting idea.
"When" to harvest is not absolute. What the seed package says is not a guarantee and times vary on a wide range of variables.

Still I think harvest needs to represented by an absolute. A straight gradient would vary between long and short season crops. Making longer season crops harder to figure out when the harvest time was. Something that did a "transition" gradient would add more calculations to this field.

Of course I am open to seeing how this idea could be made to work. Off the top of my head this seems problematic.
