This garden, although it may sound large to some, is nothing but fun! I very much enjoy the time outdoors in the sun working the ground and getting things to grow. Sometimes it is hard work, but the rewards are well worth it. I begin in May by tilling up the soil and getting some amendments into it. In mid June, I begin the planting process with cool weather crops; beans, peas, carrots, lettuce, chard, spinach, radishes, potoates and onions, just to name a few.  When the weather has gotten a bit warmer, the corn, basil, coriander, cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers and artichiokes get their turn to be planted. What a great way to de-stress and think about all the meals that can be planned based on what is planted. I have already taken out some green onions and radishes for a dinner salad. How tasty! Five minutes from garden to the table. Yumm! Got to get out there and do more work to keep the veggies coming and the pests away!
